Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Join Magnaflux, a leading manufacturer of non-destructive testing equipment, as a Mechanical Engineer in our Innovation & Marketing Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products, including capital equipment and accessories, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new products, including capital equipment and accessories, using Solid Works and other design tools.
  • Evaluate existing and new products, components, and applications to ensure they meet specifications and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate bills of materials and ensure all parts are properly inputted into the ERP System.
  • Lead engineering projects and track deliverables to ensure timely completion from design concept to product launch.
  • Interact with customers to develop and clarify expectations related to new products and existing product improvements.
  • Support sourcing department with identifying and testing components for cost savings initiatives and alternate sourcing opportunities.
  • Provide technical support and design estimates to Sales & Product Management for custom capital equipment applications.
  • Support customer run-offs on capital equipment with part application testing and provide videos and reports to achieve customer approval.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 5 years of design and project management experience.
  • 2D drawing experience (Draftsight preferred) and 3D drawing experience (Solid Works required).
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong customer service and team collaboration skills.
  • Able to formulate experiments and research projects independently and explain outcomes and discrepancies in an orderly fashion.
