Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced After-School Programming Specialist to join our team at Girl Scouts Heart of Central California. The successful candidate will work closely with our expanded learning staff, community partners, and district to deliver high-quality after-school programs that meet the needs of girls and families throughout our 18-county region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement after-school programs that promote girl empowerment, leadership, and STEM education.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with expanded learning staff, community organizations, and district to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Recruit and train after-school providers to deliver Girl Scouts programming, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Manage logistics for cookie program participation at multiple school sites, including resource delivery, inventory tracking, and payment reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with program team to schedule Girl Scouts STEM Mobile and Classroom visits to partner sites.
  • Deliver Girl Scouts resources and materials to multiple school sites throughout the year as needed.
  • Purchase and maintain supplies for facilitators delivering programming at sites where Girl Scouts is the contracted supplemental enrichment provider.
  • Partner with program team to provide additional council-sponsored participation opportunities for girls in after-school programs.
  • Provide training to after-school providers to deliver Girl Scouts programming.
  • Assist in developing innovative programs that reach underserved, unserved, and underrepresented populations.
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping, contacts, analysis, and reporting to improve efficiency and maintain historical record of all program-related activities and partner stewardship.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or minimum child development credits (12) or meet state instructional aide requirements and pass the instructional aide exam.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with other staff members, parents, and after-school providers effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to build relationships and foster a positive environment.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and a customer relationship management system such as Salesforce.
  • Bilingual skills preferred (especially in English and Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Hmong, etc.).
  • High level of interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to recognize and respect the many forms of diversity.
  • Demonstrated willingness to embrace the Girl Scouts mission, goals, values, and council-driven programs.
  • Valid California driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
  • Available for council-required weekend and evening events.
