Role OverviewAs a key member of the DocuSign Microservices Framework team, the Microservices Framework Storage Team is responsible for designing and maintaining storage solutions for all Microservices Framework service teams utilizing Public Cloud Azure. Our initiatives are centered around several core principles: effective data management solutions, a Routing & Sharding Platform for Microservices Framework Services, Storage Disaster Recovery, and enhancing Data User Access Experience.
This role is an individual contributor position reporting to the Director of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and refine Azure storage solutions to fulfill the organization's data storage and retrieval requirements by collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand needs, architect scalable storage solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Oversee Event Hub, Event Bus, and HSM functionalities.
- Work closely with internal MSF service teams to address feature requests related to these storage types using Terraform and ADO pipeline.
- Conduct storage architecture reviews with both new and existing service teams.
- Develop and enhance data metrics and alert systems for identifying storage issues associated with each component, providing troubleshooting support in production environments as needed.
- Lead Disaster Recovery initiatives for Event Hub, Event Bus, and HSM.
- Streamline the Disaster Recovery process through automation utilizing ADO and Python/Powershell scripts.
- Coordinate with Program Managers and MSF service teams to ensure regular execution of Disaster Recovery exercises.
- Provide support for the Routing Platform, including deployment, troubleshooting, feature implementation, validation, and on-call responsibilities.
Hybrid: Employees split their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required, with a minimum expectation of two days per week in the office.
QualificationsBasic Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, C++, or Java.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud deployment and configuration tools utilizing scripting and configuration platforms.
- Proven ability to drive decisions based on telemetry and metrics for a data-driven approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in object-oriented programming for building shims/APIs, multi-threading, No-SQL database development, and Azure storage architecture.
- Aptitude for thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Interest in contributing to a highly available site.
- Experience participating in on-call rotations.
- A passion for learning new software technologies and platforms.
In accordance with applicable legislation, the following pay range is provided for specific locations:
Washington: $145,000 - $214,350.00 base salary.
This position is also eligible for bonuses, equity, and benefits.
