As a School Counselor, you will deliver mental health and behavioral support services to students within an educational environment. This role involves conducting initial evaluations and assessments of students, making informed treatment recommendations, and providing individual, family, and/or group therapy tailored to the specific needs of each student. This position will cater to various grade levels and age groups within the Lebanon School District.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Following school referrals and obtaining parental/guardian consent, conduct initial evaluations and assessments of students. Provide treatment recommendations and referrals as necessary.
  • Create personalized treatment plans that outline the services and interventions required. Revise treatment plans as needed.
  • Deliver individual, family, and/or group therapy based on the treatment requirements of the student. May also provide psycho-educational support as requested by the school.
  • Document all services rendered in accordance with applicable guidelines, ensuring that all records are maintained confidentially and comply with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
  • Establish and nurture positive working relationships with school staff.
  • Coordinate services with school personnel as appropriate.
  • Offer consultation to teachers, school counselors, or other educational staff upon request.
  • Engage in educational and outreach initiatives within the school and community as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions as required by the organization’s accounting and statistical needs, including logs for outcome measures.
  • Meet established productivity expectations.
  • Adhere to all professional, certification, and ethical standards in the execution of duties. Maintain current licensure and ensure good standing with the licensing board.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    A Master’s degree in a human services-related field is required.

    Valid PLPC, LMSW, PMFT, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT licensure in Missouri is required.
