About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Covenants Associate to join our Corporate Finance Group - Covenants Team in New York City. As a key member of our team, you will provide day-to-day support to our senior team members in drafting Covenant Quality Assessments, researching topical and trends-related topics, and maintaining our high yield bond covenant databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft Covenant Quality Assessments: Provide a detailed analysis of negative covenants and other significant investor protections in high yield bonds issued into the North American market.
  • Support Senior Team Members: Assist in drafting research on high yield bond, leveraged loan, and private credit markets.
  • Maintain Covenant Databases: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of our high yield bond covenant databases and global covenant database.
  • Prepare Statistical Analysis: Generate research slide decks and statistical graphs, tables, and spreadsheets to enable analysis of covenant trends.
  • Collaborate with Global Team Members: Work closely with our global team members to achieve our goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field of study.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (EXCEL, PowerPoint, WORD), Bloomberg, and FACTSET.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage own workflow/priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, research, and organizational skills.
