Medical Director for ICU Hospitalists in North Carolina

At Physician Empire, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our team of ICU Hospitalists in North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned physician to join our organization and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
About the Opportunity
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our ICU Hospitalist program, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that our staff is supported in their roles.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have significant experience as a Hospitalist, preferably with a background in Critical Care Medicine. You will be responsible for:
- Rounding on patients and providing medical direction to the hospitalist team
- Participating in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with other departments, such as cardiology, GI, nephrology, and general surgery
- Mentoring junior physicians and promoting a culture of excellence within the team
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A strong educational background, with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine
- At least 5 years of experience as a Hospitalist, with a focus on Critical Care Medicine
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
