Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Sutter Delta Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to mothers and newborns during the antepartum, labor, and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor patients throughout the labor process, identifying potential complications and taking appropriate action.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive and empowering experience.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Participate in fetal monitoring and other diagnostic procedures, interpreting results and making recommendations for patient care.
  • Assist with deliveries, including cesarean sections, and provide postpartum care to new mothers and their babies.
  • Document patient information and progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current nursing license, in good standing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year Labor and Delivery experience.
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN. Fetal Monitoring.
