As a Cytotechnologist at BJC, you will play a critical role in delivering precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform specimen preparation, staining, and screening of specimens submitted for cytological examination.
- Screen accurately GYN and non-GYN cytology samples and may assist with fine needle aspirations on/off campus.
- Perform quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoot malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary.
- Maintain staining rows and records daily Quality Control of stains and technical quality of cytology preparations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical/Life Science/related field.
- Licensed and Certified in either ASCP, AMT, AAB, or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
