The ideal candidate will treat co-workers, patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership: Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws. Serve as a leader of the healthcare team, delegate tasks appropriately, and demonstrate appropriate accountability.
- Nursing Process: Develop and/or contribute to the individualized plan of care that reflects assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of that plan.
- Documentation: Charting is accurate, legible, dated, and timed. Documentation reflects nursing process and interventions and evaluations taken.
- Clinical Outcomes: Discuss patient findings and progress toward outcomes with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Team Commitment: Viewed by others to be an effective team member who is flexible, cooperative, and willing to assist others.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Organize work to minimize the use of overtime and identify and assist in systems improvement that needs simplification or correction.
- Current CA RN license.
- ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications.
- Successful completion of advanced fetal monitoring course within the past two years.
- One (1) year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in an L&D unit, which includes basic fetal monitoring.
- BSN preferred.
