Job Title: Clinical Assistant

Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Assistant to join our team in Westerville, OH. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clinical support to ensure the efficient delivery of primary health care and create a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the clinical care team to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes direct communication between the care team, patient/caregiver, and appropriate care providers.
  • Collaborate with other care team members to address gaps in care and promote improved clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Act as a patient advocate to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
  • Perform routine medical procedures, administer injections, and collect specimens as directed.
  • Assist in vaccine administration, interview patients regarding medical concerns, and obtain medical history.
  • Measure and record vital signs, review physician orders, and follow up as needed.
  • Communicate test results to patients, assist with patient education, and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Respond to patient phone calls, maintain a clean and well-organized work area, and participate in classroom activities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience as a Phlebotomist, EMT, or Multi Skilled Tech preferred.
  • MA certification or LPN licensure preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Self-disciplined, energetic, passionate, and innovative.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care, and examination procedures.
  • Ability to administer vaccines, take vital signs, and establish effective working relationships.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
