Job Summary:The Health Information Management Analysis Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical record documentation. This position works closely with the Health Information Management (HIM) Analysis Coordinator to identify trends and report on documentation deficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze medical record documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Communicate documentation deficiencies with providers and People Leaders.
- Provide education to providers on required documentation elements as needed.
- Identify and report trends of documentation deficiencies to People Leaders.
- Serve as a resource for medical record documentation standards, content, and design.
- Assist providers with documentation correction processes.
- Respond to department inquiries and requests for information.
- Support process improvement projects.
Associates degree in Health Information Management, required.
At least one of the following credentials (RHIA, RHIT), strongly preferred.
OR
Two years of medical record analysis experience.
