Position Overview

Civil Engineering Department Manager

This role encompasses the oversight of our civil engineering team, ensuring that all design and production efforts adhere to industry standards and PACE's quality benchmarks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and approving design work to maintain compliance with established standards.
  • Ensuring timely project completion within budget constraints.
  • Maintaining effective communication with clients to address project inquiries.
  • Managing departmental resources to fulfill client expectations.
  • Achieving departmental utilization and performance goals.
  • Collaborating with our corporate office.
  • Contributing to business development and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Executing supervisory duties in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Sealing and signing construction documents.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Expertise in the design of municipal utilities, streets, or land development projects.
  • Successful management experience leading teams or offices.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A valid PE license in Oregon and Washington.
