Senior Accountant, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets

The American Pharmacists Association is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing our accounts receivable and fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile accounts receivable, including checks, lockbox payments, and credit cards
  • Generate and review accounts receivable aging reports and notify budget managers
  • Manage vendor ACH/credit card enrollments for receivables
  • Run monthly aging and sales reports and send past due notifications
  • Process distributor payments and record inventory returns
  • Provide training on AR functions
  • Manage fixed assets, including adding new assets, maintaining cost schedules, and calculating depreciation
  • Prepare annual personal property tax return for the District of Columbia

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field experience
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a senior level accounting position
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 and accounting software, including Microsoft Dynamics GP, Sage Intacct, and Sage Fixed Assets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
