About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Building Materials Sales Associate to join our team at Jobs for Humanity. As a Building Materials Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the products they need to complete their home improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming customers to our store and helping them select the right products for their needs.
  • Validate loading tickets and process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure customers receive their merchandise as expected and in a timely manner.
  • Engage in safe work practices and encourage others to do the same, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Work in one of our various departments, including Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.
  • Travel to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores as needed.
Requirements
  • 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
  • Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as may be required by law.
  • Preferred qualifications include 6 months of sales experience, 6 months of retail experience providing customer service, and bi-lingual skills.
