Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and confident Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with obstetricians and other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting, including fetal monitoring, labor management, and postpartum care.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care for each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in maternal-child health.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, with a strong background in obstetrics and gynecology. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and sometimes high-stress environment. Additionally, you will need to hold a current RN license and any relevant certifications, such as AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitor Course or NRP certification.
