About the Career:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the PACU/Pre-Op department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for:
- Performing initial assessments, admitting, and preparing patients for surgical procedures
- Acting as a liaison between the operative team and family members
- Providing postoperative care and support
- Implementing discharge plans
- Providing specialized treatments and procedures, as well as patient and family teaching
- Delivering professional, courteous, and empathetic service to patients ranging from infants to adults
- Performing Pre-Op Clinic duties as needed
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a Degree in Nursing
- Experience is preferred, with orientation based on previous knowledge and experience
- Additional education/training in related fields is considered on an individual basis
- Active membership in professional organizations (ASPAN/ONS/SGNA) is highly recommended
- BCLS is required upon hire, with ACLS and PALS or ENPC required within 9 months of hire
