About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Center Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the City of North Kansas. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about facilities maintenance and wants to make a difference in their community.

Job Summary

The Community Center Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Community Center building, including maintaining all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and making repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain building systems in good working order, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, replacing filters, and inspecting systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues with building systems and make repairs as needed.
  • Develop and implement energy conservation measures to reduce energy consumption.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • An Associate's degree in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Boiler Maintenance, Energy Maintenance, or a related field.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
