About the RoleAs a detail-oriented Food Safety Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will play a vital part in supporting our client's implementation and oversight of food safety and quality assurance programs. This role requires strong attention to detail and ability to interpret regulatory standards such as FSMA, HACCP, and other food safety-related protocols.

Key ResponsibilitiesSome of your key responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with the Food Safety team to manage recall processes, product holds, and quality assurance matters.
2. Conducting small-group training sessions for team members to ensure proper understanding and adherence to food safety protocols.
3. Maintaining and updating compliance documentation, including SDS, regulatory certifications, and tracking corrective actions following audits.
4. Monitoring and tracking quality issues, managing product returns and adherence to internal policies.
5. Verifying and updating system data, such as lot codes and supplier details.
6. Assisting in regulatory compliance with programs like HACCP, food defense plans, and various governing standards (FDA, USDA, CDPH).
7. Supporting initiatives for maintaining third-party certifications and compliance with customer-specific requirements.

Qualifications and SkillsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards such as FSMA, HACCP, and other food safety-related protocols.
2. High attention to detail, particularly in reviewing records, tracking issues, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
3. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional departments including warehouse operations, purchasing, and customer service.
4. Effective problem-solving abilities to address and resolve quality-related concerns in a timely manner.
