Job Summary:

As a Locum Tenens Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital, you will provide high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care to patients during specific coverage periods. This is a unique opportunity to work in a facility with 6 beds in the department, managing patient encounters, and performing deliveries, including complicated cases such as breech and multiple births. You will also repair significant lacerations, conduct routine deliveries, and participate in decision-making for c-sections and other delivery-related decisions. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with facility and professional standards throughout all interactions and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide obstetric and gynecologic services during specific coverage periods
  • Manage patient encounters, typically 1-3 per shift
  • Perform deliveries, including complicated cases such as breech and multiple births
  • Repair significant lacerations and conduct routine deliveries
  • Conduct necessary surgical gynecology procedures
  • Participate in decision-making for c-sections and other delivery-related decisions
  • Ensure compliance with facility and professional standards throughout all interactions and procedures

  • Board-certified physicians required
  • Low risk pregnancy expertise
  • High risk pregnancy expertise
  • FHR interpretation skills (NST/CST/FSE)
  • OB Ultrasounds performance and interpretation
  • Level I/Screening (viability)
  • Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
  • Routine delivery skills
  • Vaginal delivery expertise
  • Low forceps proficiency
  • Decision making for c-section
  • Complicated delivery experience
  • C-section skills
  • Breech delivery capability
  • Multiple births delivery skills
  • VBAC's expertise
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
  • Surgical gynecology expertise
  • Open surgeries
