Job Summary:

The Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing and assisting with the setup, service, and cleanup of all assigned banquet functions at Four Points Alexandria.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the setup, service, and cleanup of banquet functions, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute customized banquet events, including menu planning, decor, and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards and regulations, as well as local health and safety codes.
  • Lead and motivate a team of banquet staff to provide exceptional service and ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Monitor and control banquet event budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve banquet operations and guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, with a strong background in banquet operations.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous supervisory experience and certification in areas such as food safety, alcohol awareness, and customer service are highly desirable.
