Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PRN Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Johns Hopkins HealthCare. As a PRN Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify medication orders, primarily chemotherapies and other hazardous drugs for oncology patients.
  • Monitor for clinical appropriateness of chemotherapy and other medications.
  • Oversight of Pharmacy Technicians and final check and approval of medications prior to dispensing.
Requirements
  • Current District of Columbia pharmacist license or proof of eligibility for licensure by reciprocity or exam.
  • Bachelor of Science in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in hospital pharmacy practice or completion of a pharmacy practice residency in the hospital setting is preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
Work Schedule

Hours may be irregular and include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. In the absence of 24-hour pharmacy services, hours include rotating on-call coverage for drug information and emergency dispensing needs when the pharmacy is closed.

Compensation

Minimum $71.00 per hour - Maximum $71.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
