Infusion Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Oncology and Infusion Departments at Fairview Range Medical Center. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and coordination of services.
Key Responsibilities- Timely and accurate assessment of patient clinical, social, functional, and continuing care needs through direct observation, data analysis, and interviews.
- Plans for and identifies immediate, short-term, and long-term care needs for patients/clients, setting appropriate goals and time frames for achievement.
- Evaluates and measures patient/client response to planning, services, and interventions to ensure quality of case management services.
- Communicates effectively across service lines to ensure efficient utilization of services.
- Performs total systems assessment according to established policies, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual data.
- Identifies patient needs and/or nursing diagnosis based on analysis of collected data and incorporates into an individualized plan of care.
- Provides appropriate nursing care based on assessments and in coordination with medical care, including external referrals as directed.
- Safe administration of chemotherapy agents, IV solutions, and medication additives.
- One year RN experience.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or willingness to obtain within two years of hire.
- One year of acute and/or ambulatory direct patient care experience or one year of recent oncology experience.
- Current Minnesota RN Licensure.
- Current ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy certification, or obtains within 6 months of hire.
- Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate, or obtains within 2 years of hire and maintains.
- Current BLS certification or attend BLS class within 3 months of hire and maintains certification.
- Prior case coordination experience.
- One year clinical experience in the Oncology care setting.
