Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hometown America Management. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the long-term viability of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Presentation: Ensure the community is presentable, inviting, and adheres to our curb appeal standards.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Perform grounds work and seasonal maintenance in community common areas, including power washing, pest control, sweeping curb and dumpster areas, maintaining landscaping, and other tasks.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate daily with your supervisor and collaborate as a team player to achieve customer expectations and ensure ongoing operations.
  • Safety Procedures: Follow safety procedures at all times, including safely operating equipment and vehicles when moving from site to site and picking up supplies.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a professional, courteous rapport with all residents, vendors, contractors, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in pool management, CPO certification preferred.
  • Transferable Skills: Previous experience and general knowledge of landscaping, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and hand tools preferred.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a variety of seasonal temperatures as the role requires outdoor work.
  • Independence and Teamwork: Take initiative and have the flexibility to work well independently as well as in a team environment where you see assignments and projects through to completion.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays or other times outside of normal business hours for emergency situations.
  • Criminal Background and Driving Record Checks: Our hiring process includes criminal background and driving record checks.
  • Valid Driver's License: A current, valid driver's license from the state where the community is located is required before driving a company-owned vehicle or before driving a personal vehicle on company business.
