Culinary Support Specialist at North Campus with Retention Incentive

The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation is in search of Culinary and Nutrition Support Specialists to join our team at various school locations for shifts ranging from 3 to 5 hours.
- Retention incentive available
New Employee Incentive: Newly hired staff will be eligible for an incentive after completing 90 days of service, which will be provided throughout the academic year.
Employee Retention Bonus Program: Staff members will be awarded two annual bonuses based on their tenure within the Culinary and Nutrition Department.
- Support staff will operate under the guidance of Cafeteria Managers
- Positions are available for 40 weeks each year
- Work hours are scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Paid holidays and snow days are included
- No previous experience is required
Compensation Structure:

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and inventory management
- Serve meals to students and staff
- Ensure cleanliness in work areas and kitchen tools
- Set up and dismantle serving lines
- Operate kitchen machinery and manage cash transactions
- No supervisory duties are required
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food preparation is preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Physical Requirements:
This position involves standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using kitchen equipment.
Work Environment:
Work conditions may include temperature fluctuations, slippery surfaces, and high noise levels.
