School Speech Language Pathologist Position Available
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at E-Therapy Careers. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
About the Position
The successful candidate will work with students in PreK-12 schools, providing speech and language therapy services to help them develop communication skills and overcome speech and language disorders. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized therapy plans, and collaborating with teachers and parents to support students' communication goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop tailored therapy plans based on assessment results and students' needs
- Provide direct therapy services targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills
- Collaborate with educational teams to support students' communication goals in the classroom and other settings
- Utilize evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities to promote speech and language development
- Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes
- Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and relevant information accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' speech and language needs
Requirements
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting
- Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speech-language therapy (preferred)
