LICENSED ARMED SECURITY OFFICER

Employment Type: Full-Time 1st SHIFT

Available Shifts: Monday through Sunday

Shift Hours: 07:00-19:00

Starting Pay: $17.05 to $17.55 per hour
* Initial 16 hours of orientation training compensated at $12.00 per hour. Subsequent site-specific training provided at $17.05 per hour.

Mission Statement: Are you prepared to collaborate with Local and Federal Law Enforcement? We are seeking committed professionals who can perform at an elevated standard. Your role will involve safeguarding lives and assets in accordance with Homeland Security protocols.

Make a significant impact by becoming a member of our Critical Infrastructure Security Team dedicated to protecting our nation. We are in search of highly trained Armed "G" License Officers for security access responsibilities. Selected candidates must demonstrate reliability, adherence to instructions, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control access to secured areas designated for cleared individuals.
  • Potential assignments at various job sites within the region.
  • Pay may vary based on the work location.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of an approved Florida Class "D" & "G" license from the DOACS. Completion of an approved State of Florida 40-hour Unarmed and 28-hour Armed Security Officer Course.
  • High School Diploma or valid GED Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • At least one year of experience in security or a supervisory role.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to assigned job sites.
  • Access to a 24/7 Smartphone and Computer with Internet.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including email, web browsing, MS Word, and Adobe PDF.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and resourcefulness.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work safely in various environments, including commercial and industrial settings.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards.
  • Ability to pass a Drug Test and Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of or willingness to apply for the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (T.W.I.C.).
  • Knowledge of security and law enforcement guidelines.
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations governing the region.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Prior military or law enforcement experience is preferred.
  • Encouragement for Women, Minorities, and Veterans to apply.
  • College-level education is highly desirable.
