Tree Faller

We are seeking a highly skilled Tree Faller to join our team at Hotshot Arbor Care. As a Tree Faller, you will work in conjunction with Cal Fire on specialized tree falling operations and/or burning trees greater than 24 inches in diameter.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

• Falling trees in a safe and efficient manner
• Working in conjunction with Cal Fire on specialized tree falling operations
• Burning trees greater than 24 inches in diameter

• A minimum of 18 years old
• A valid California Driver's License
• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of ICS-100 Introduction to ICS
• Completion of L-180 Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service
• Completion of S-130 Firefighter Training
• Completion of S-190 Introduction to Fire Behavior
• Completion of IS-700/IS700a NIMS: An Introduction
• Completion of RT-130 Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher including fire shelter (WFSTAR) Training
• Completion of S-212 Wildland Fire Chain Saws Training
• The ability to pass the Arduous Work Capacity Fitness Test
• Three years of experience in the commercial logging industry as a timber faller or three years of experience as a faller on wildfire incidents

• Satisfactory performance as a Firefighter
• Completion and Certification of NWCG Basic Faller Position Task Book
