About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse RN PRN to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients throughout their pregnancy journey, from prenatal to postpartum care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maternal assessments and provide appropriate interventions for patients with varying needs.
  • Conduct fetal assessments and implement interventions to ensure optimal fetal health.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices for OB pain management and perform/monitor OB anesthesia/analgesia as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Administer medications according to hospital policy and ensure patient safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
  • Current BLS certification
  • At least two years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
