Mammography Technologist Role

At CHRISTUS Health, we are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of mammographic procedures while providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammographic procedures using independent judgment to ensure quality patient care.
  • Operate various radiographic and support equipment, including mammographic, ultrasound, and stereotactic breast biopsy machines.
  • Assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic procedures by setting proper radiographic technique factors and preparing opaque media.
  • Maintain mammography equipment and components, adhering to MQSA programs and ACR, FDA, and TDH standards.
  • Accurately record and maintain patient documentation in an organized manner.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Mammography.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology preferred, with 1 year of experience in Mammography.
