Job Title: CDL Driver

Waste Connections is seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our team in Bailey, Colorado.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a safety-conscious CDL Driver to operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A or B CDL, a clean driving record, and 1 year of local route driving experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
  • Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles.
  • Load and unload trash at designated facilities.
  • Courteous interaction with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:

The employee will be exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

Requirements:
  • Valid Class A or B CDL.
  • Clean driving record.
  • 1 year of local route driving experience.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
  • Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
