Job Description

At Solista Senior Living by Cogir North Carolina, we are seeking a diligent and energetic Night Porter to join our team. As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for fulfilling assigned housekeeping duties in the community's general areas and some light general maintenance.

The position is full-time with 4 x 10-hour shifts, Thursday through Sunday nights, 7:30 pm-6 am. If you are a team player with a passion for serving seniors, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate floor cleaning machines, cleaning hard surfaces and carpets, as directed.
  • Maintain all assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition, including empty apartments, common areas, and outside spaces.
  • Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, mop, and sweep all areas of the establishment.
  • Follow community cleaning schedule and protocol according to community guidelines, following established safety precautions.
  • Report all repair requests or safety hazards.
  • Laundry duties as assigned.
  • Assure that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times.
  • Perform routine building maintenance rounds as directed, completing tasks such as painting, wall patching, floor care, pressure washing, and basic plumbing repairs.

Requirements:

  • A positive team player mentality and passion for serving seniors.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior housekeeping experience is preferred.
  • Prior maintenance experience is a plus, as well as a general maintenance skillset, including drywall repair and texturing, carpentry, painting, and floor care.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses, as well as cleaning equipment.
  • Previous experience working in commercial property, Hotel, Independent Living (IL), or Senior Living experience is a plus.
