Job Title: Advanced Medical Care Specialist - Emergency Response

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize advanced medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids, to provide top-notch medical care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their loved ones to provide information and reassurance about the care being given.
  • Act as a team leader and take responsibility for scene management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.

Requirements:

  • Education/Licensing/Certification:
    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
    • California Driver's License
    • Ambulance Driver's License (from DMV)
    • Medical Examiner's Card
    • State of California Paramedic License
    • CPR Card (AHA ONLY, Health Care Provider)
    • ACLS Card (AHA ONLY)
    • PALS Card (AHA ONLY) or PEPP
    • ICS courses (IS-100B, IS-200B, IS-700A, IS-800B)
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Driving record in compliance with McCormick/AMR Safety and Driving policy
