### Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with Product Owners to plan and refine the team's work
* Lead, coach, and mentor a team of engineers in a fast-paced Agile environment
* Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos
* Align priorities, timelines, and deliverables with product teams and stakeholders
* Uphold software engineering standards and best practices across the team

* Partner with other teams to design, build, and release new features
* Develop scalable, maintainable code using Ruby, Python, and other technologies
* Engage in all phases of software development – analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
* Create and review RFCs, conduct code reviews, and drive quality assurance through peer feedback and unit tests
* Onboard new team members and promote continuous professional growth
* Contribute to system architecture and maintain PostgreSQL databases
* Monitor and improve software performance using DORA metrics to measure outcomes

### Qualifications

* BS/MS in Computer Science, related field, or comparable experience
* Proven leadership experience in software engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and technical expertise in backend development with Ruby, Python, or similar languages
* Familiarity with front-end technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Solid understanding of Kafka for event streaming and PostgreSQL for data storage
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions)
* 9+ years of software development experience
* 3+ years leading Agile software teams
* 3+ years managing databases (SQL)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent problem-solving abilities with a mindset for innovation
* Familiarity with DORA metrics to measure software performance and delivery
* Ability to foster teamwork and a high-performance culture
