Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Instructor to join our team at the University of California-Davis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in International Relations, Comparative Politics, American Politics, and/or Political Theory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach up to two courses per quarter over three quarters
  • Develop and implement curriculum for core courses in International Relations, Comparative Politics, American Politics, and/or Political Theory
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the department's teaching and research programs
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Political Science/International Relations or a related discipline
  • Strong research and teaching expertise
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching courses in International Relations, Comparative Politics, American Politics, and/or Political Theory
  • Strong publication record in the field of Political Science
  • Ability to contribute to the department's research and service programs
