Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role will coordinate with the Director of Maintenance, supervise department personnel, and oversee the implementation of maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to ensure that maintenance projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Supervise department personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Assess conditions and diagnose technical and mechanical problems, making recommendations for repairs and maintenance.
  • Lead staff during projects and repairs, including carpentry, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing.
  • Maintain the quality of work, ensuring that it meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee activities of outside contractors and tradespeople, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Monitor time and cost records, scheduling vacation, relief, and emergency coverage.
  • Lead and manage compliance with regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission and NJDOH standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the campus.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in hospital or institutional maintenance.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
