Job Title: Licensed Clinician - Youth and Adult Crisis Intervention Specialist

Job Summary:

Ambassadors For Christ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Clinician to join our team. As a Licensed Clinician, you will provide holistic, comprehensive psychotherapy, early intervention, and support services to at-risk youth, young adults, and their families who may be suffering from substance use disorders and/or mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Counseling: Perform initial evaluations/assessments of client needs for diagnosing and develop customized treatment plans that include coping strategies.
  • Individual and Group Therapy: Meet with clients weekly to help them overcome and manage different mental and emotional challenges.
  • Stress and Trauma Coping Mechanisms: Educate clients on stress and trauma coping mechanisms.
  • Resource Provision: Provide clients with the resources they need to reach personal goals.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor client progress and modify their treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to provide clients with needed services.
  • Continuing Education: Complete continuing education courses to maintain licensure board standards.
  • Professional Development: Maintain professional liability insurance.
  • Behavioral Interventions: Provide behavioral interventions for effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Documentation: Complete appropriate paperwork and clinical notes within 48 hours of client contact.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience working with children, youth, and/or families from high-risk backgrounds.
  • Tolerance: High tolerance for working in an emotionally demanding work environment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to respond to ongoing changes positively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule to facilitate program services.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Driver's License: Valid state driver's license and eligibility to drive to facilitate program services as required by contractual agreements.
  • Background Check: Ability to successfully pass a drug screening and required background checks.
  • Certifications: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field is required. Licensed in the state of Arkansas. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Provisional Licensed Master Social Workers (PLMSW). LPC Associates.
