Healogics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Wound Care RN, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the company's mission of delivering high-quality wound care services.
Job Summary:The Wound Care RN will be responsible for providing patient care and handling intake and discharge processes for patients in the Wound Care Center. This includes performing initial nursing assessments, communicating with physicians, assessing wound stages and measurements, documenting care plans, and evaluating patient status. The successful candidate will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education to patients and caregivers, and serve as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of patient care.
Responsibilities:- Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handle patient intake and discharge processes as assigned and according to hospital and nursing standards.
- Assist in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
- May serve as Case Manager to a group of patients as assigned, performing initial nursing assessments, communicating with physicians, assessing wound stages and measurements, documenting care plans, and evaluating patient status.
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties as assigned, upon completion of Healogics hyperbaric training.
- May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required Healogics hyperbaric safety director training.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director, and the Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.
- May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current RN license in the state of practice – to be maintained throughout the duration of employment in the position
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred
- Wound care experience preferred
- Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Demonstrated organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to translate complex technical terms in laymen's terms
- Customer service skills and follow-up skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Teaching skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to work with others and in a team environment
- Ability to stay calm in all situations

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $48.47 per hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography, as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
