Staff Auditor

We are seeking an Auditor with 1-3 years of public accounting assurance experience to join our team at DeLeon & Stang, CPAs & Advisors.
The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of experienced professionals on multiple audit engagements in various industries, including not-for-profits, credit unions, and commercial entities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Auditing financial statement accounts and transactions
- Preparing audit workpapers and presenting completed workpapers for review in a timely manner
- Documenting accounting systems and internal controls and identifying weaknesses
- Clearing open review notes and items effectively and efficiently
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management letters
- Adhering to budgets
Requirements include:
- 1-3 years of public accounting auditing experience preferred, not-for-profit experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Knowledge of proper workpaper technique
- Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, GAAP, and GAAS
- CPA or active pursuit of CPA license
