Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Join the Pasadena Area Community College District as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and contribute to the delivery of high-quality clinical services to clients. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and SLPA students to provide therapy services, communicate with parents and caregivers, and collaborate on treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech therapy services to clients at local clinical sites
  • Work with 1-8 SLPA students per semester, up to 3-4 students per day
  • Communicate with parents/caregivers regarding client services and progress
  • Collaborate with licensed SLPs and SLPA students on therapy planning and implementation
Requirements:
  • Valid License as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in California from the Department of Consumer Affairs Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (SLPAHADB)
  • 4 years full-time experience as an SLPA following licensure
  • Experience providing speech therapy therapeutic services in an assistive capacity, following a treatment plan provided by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, or Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders
