We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to join our team at Carle Health. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a vital role in creating a positive experience for our patients, families, and visitors. You will serve as a liaison between patients/families/visitors and members of the healthcare team to address questions, provide non-medical information, and help navigate the healthcare experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to address patient concerns and provide updates.
- Answer telephone calls in a clear, courteous, and professional manner.
- Make, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Support digital communication with patients, including MyUnityPoint and text messaging.
- Gather, verify, and enter demographic and insurance information for patients.
- Assist with proactive charge capture and billing accuracy.
- Collect payments and reconcile daily receivable activity.
Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and visitors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
