Role Overview: A prominent employer is seeking a seasoned Utility Annex HVAC Systems Engineer to contribute to their engineering initiatives. This senior engineering role involves a diverse range of responsibilities in project development, design, operations, installation, and maintenance of HVAC and Compressed Air systems. The selected candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy, overseeing assigned equipment and systems, while providing guidance to fellow HVAC engineers and collaborating with technical craft personnel to ensure optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct design development, analysis, and review tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Offer mentorship and leadership to junior engineers.
  • Assist shop technicians and operators as necessary for the assigned systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide expert solutions as they arise.
  • Evaluate and justify preventive maintenance delays for HVAC and Compressed Air systems.
  • Perform readiness assessments of equipment and systems.
  • Update and maintain asset information in the Maximo database according to the Maintenance Action Request (MAR) process.
  • Actively participate in System Health and Readiness Program (SHARP) teams.
  • Collaborate with various disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and produce technical documentation and specifications for systems and subsystems.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders throughout the design and commissioning phases.
  • Conduct site assessments and analyze engineering challenges, proposing viable solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards and testing protocols.
  • Support the creation of technical proposals and review the technical aspects of proposed designs.
  • Formulate task order requirements for Operations & Maintenance Documentation (OMD) updates.
  • Effectively communicate with CAD drafters, design engineers, and shop personnel through written and verbal means.

Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.
