We are currently seeking a skilled Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced SLP to work in the acute care setting.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and develop effective treatment plans to improve their communication skills.
- Diagnose and treat various types of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, including those caused by traumatic events or disabilities.
- Create individualized therapy plans that cater to the diverse needs of patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
- Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders and educate patients and family members about the causes and implications of these conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and report progress to relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation following state and insurance guidelines.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- BLS certification and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
