Job Summary

Pathlight Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Direct Support Autism Coach. This role involves providing direct care and support to a young woman with Autism, promoting her dignity, safety, health, welfare, rights, development, and social inclusion.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging and assisting the individual in social/recreational and skill-building activities, modeling appropriate behavior and promoting independence.
  • Conferencing with the supervisor and other service team members to discuss goals, implementation, and other related questions, concerns, or problems.
  • Applying Pathlight Group and program policies and procedures, particularly in areas such as crisis, emergency, health and safety, individual rights, and preventing and reporting abuse.
  • Completing related records as required and instructed by contract or supervisor, ensuring confidentiality and safe-keeping of documents.
  • Accompanying the individual to recreational activities and other planned events, providing transportation as needed, and maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Submitting weekly time sheets with summaries of activities and timely and accurate mileage reimbursement requests.
  • Participating in periodic meetings regarding the individual's progress and carrying out changes as recommended.

Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, previous knowledge and experience working with individuals with disabilities, and over 1 year of experience working with children/adults with Autism. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required.

Job Type: Per-Diem

Pay: $18.00 per Hour
