Radiology Technologist I-FT Evening 3:00pm-11:30pm Position

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Luminis Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for carrying out radiological examinations under the supervision of the Radiologist and Department Director/Supervisor. Your primary goal will be to maintain quality care of all patients when in the department.
Key Responsibilities- Call for patients to be brought to Radiology and properly place requisitions in the box to have patients brought to Radiology for tests.
- Log patients in and out of the Meditech system accurately and consistently.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary to provide quality care services for special age-specific populations, such as pediatrics and geriatrics patients.
- Help transport patients as needed and familiarize yourself with all transportation tasks and safety practices when transporting patients.
- Help with functions of the receptionist when necessary and familiarize yourself with all the responsibilities of the receptionist to assist as needed.
- Be in compliance with hospital/department policies and regulations, including maintaining current state/national certification as applicable and attending ten (10) of the twelve (12) department meetings.
- Keep assigned room clean and perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including preparing patients for procedures, selecting and operating imaging equipment, and positioning patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest.
- Practice radiological safety at all times, including using lead shielding to protect body parts not to be examined and wearing radiation monitoring badges daily.
- Operate the Computed Radiography (CR) equipment and the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), including turning the CR equipment on and off, properly associating imaging plates with patients and exams, and reviewing images within the CR unit.
- Associates Degree in x-ray technology is preferred.
- Current BLS CPR is required.
- High school graduate plus two years of training by an approved American Medical Association Radiologic Technologist program.
- Must have a good working knowledge of all radiographic positions and exhibit radiation safety practices at all times.
- Registered by ARRT, state license, and CPR.
