Job Description

Job Summary

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for contributing to the company's competitive status and profitable operation through creative sourcing and procurement of materials and services in a timely manner, at an optimum value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of sources of supply to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Procurement and Negotiation: Procure materials and services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and optimal value.
  • Cost Savings and Process Improvement: Develop and implement cost savings plans, value analysis programs, and process improvements to enhance the company's competitive status and profitability.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing teams, to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of procurement activities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field, with at least 4 years of experience in a related manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to think strategically and analytically, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word.
Work Environment

The Procurement Manager will work in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with minimal exposure to moving equipment, elements, or risk of injury. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
