Job Summary

Serves as the financial business partner to the General Manager, providing financial information and analysis to support business decisions. Prepares monthly financial statements and general ledger account reconciliations. Reviews and prepares financial reports and analyses for management and internal/external auditors. Compiles and analyzes financial information to provide insights to the General Manager. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure timely availability of accurate financial information. Approves checks and wire transfer requests for payment. Manages the accounting group and provides necessary training and supervision. Ensures departmental compliance with policies and procedures. Maintains or reviews documentation necessary for the audit of Cubic's financial statements and its system of internal accounting controls over financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance, if required
  • Four-year college degree. Accounting or similar preferred
  • Eight (8)+ years of related experience, preferably in a contracting and/or manufacturing environment
  • CPA certification or MBA preferred
  • Public accounting experience as well as experience managing an accounting team desired
  • DoD accounting and SAP experience is an added advantage
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing effective accounting departments and/or working with public accounting teams
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
  • Exposure to foreign currency transactions and consolidations is preferred
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, management, and external auditors
Compensation

$110,000 - $140,000* + benefits

*Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
