Job Summary and Qualifications
The Advanced Imaging Technologist is responsible for executing both invasive and non-invasive imaging procedures tailored to the diverse needs of our patients.
This role requires the application of sterile techniques when necessary, operation of sophisticated imaging machinery, and assistance to physicians as required.
Continuous education, acquired skills, and experience will be utilized. This position operates with a degree of independence to deliver high-quality imaging results.The Advanced Imaging Technologist is expected to routinely work across a minimum of two relevant modalities as directed by department leadership to fulfill the specific demands of the department.
Responsibilities encompass all tasks related to the primary and secondary imaging modalities in which they are engaged. This includes Diagnostic Imaging, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound, as well as Mammography and Bone Densitometry.Qualifications Required:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) program.
Licensure:
ARRT registered with post-primary certification in at least one additional qualifying discipline relevant to the role of Advanced Imaging Technologist OR must achieve registry and maintain current certification on the credentialing platform for specified imaging modalities within designated timeframes; a.
CT 6-9 months, b. Mammography 12 months, c. MRI 12-18 months. Completion of CEU requirements for re-certification. BLS certified.Experience:
Prior experience in a multi-disciplinary Radiology Department is essential.
Preferred Experience:
Two years of prior experience in an advanced imaging discipline.
