The ED Technician provides high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, working under the medical direction of the Medical Director and direct supervision of the ED attending physician. This role requires a strong foundation in pre-hospital and critical care transport, with a focus on delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect pertinent data within their certification scope of practice and report all clinical and psychosocial findings to the RN and ED Attending.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care while adhering to the mission and objectives of the hospital.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice.

Requirements

  • Current certification as EMT-Paramedic in the State of Florida required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire.
  • One year Paramedic experience preferred.
