Job Title: Glass and Panel Estimator

At Precision Walls, we are seeking a skilled Glass and Panel Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely estimates for our glass and panel projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and Organize Bid Documents: Gather and organize bid documents, including blueprints, specifications, and scope of work, from various sources and store them on our company share drive.
  • Takeoff and Measurement: Compile a detailed takeoff of all exterior glass, interior glass, and metal panel quantities required for each project, including measurements in square feet, lineal feet, and count.
  • Pricing and Vendor Management: Collect material pricing and application instructions from multiple vendors and store them in the project file for future reference.
  • Jobsite Visits and Pre-Bid Meetings: Attend jobsite visits and pre-bid meetings as required to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
  • Estimate Review and Submission: Review completed takeoffs with supervisors to ensure timely and accurate estimate submissions.
  • Drawings and Building Design: Read and interpret drawings, conceptualize building design, and systematically measure building components.
  • Bid Date Management: Monitor bid dates for each assigned project and communicate with clients to ensure timely takeoffs and estimates.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Degree in architectural, engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience in the construction field.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and Bluebeam, with the ability to adapt to new software programs.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Key Competencies: Decision-making, communication skills, influencing and leading, adaptability, stress tolerance, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
