eTeam Inc is currently seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Medical Surgical for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.

Unit Details:
Department: Medical Surgical | RN

- Unit Capacity: 10 beds, expandable to 18.
- Nurse to Patient Ratios: Typically 1:4, average 1:5, can reach 1:6 on rare occasions.
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.
- Common Patient Diagnoses: Ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, including pneumonia, CHF, COPD, and post-operative care for procedures such as hysterectomies and appendectomies.
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Charge Nurse Availability: Charge nurse may take a 1:2 assignment occasionally; travelers with charge experience may also take on this role.
- Support Staff: Yes, 1:10 ratio of nurse aids/patient care technicians.
- Respiratory Equipment: All necessary equipment except for vents; RT will set up and monitor.
- Telemetry Support: Remote telemetry technician available; preferred if RN can interpret strips.
- Shift Scheduling: 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, with scheduling managed by the unit manager; staff can swap shifts.
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 5 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule, with potential for more based on needs.
- Holiday Requirement: Yes, based on operational needs.
- Call or Standby Requirement: None
- Floating Requirements: Potential to float to Labor & Delivery or Emergency Department as needed.
- Dress Code: Any scrub color and pattern permitted; scrubs provided but not mandatory.
- Orientation: Two 12-hour shifts on the unit with a preceptor.
